| The "Maisie" style patent leather shoes are similar to the "Susan" style but have slightly different flower design. The premium leathers used are sourced from environmentally aware tanneries and the packaging is fully recyclable. Both the TPR (thermoplastic rubber) soles and the leathers have passed the strictest European Safety Standards and the American CPSIA standards. The rubber soles provide excellent grip of the floor and aid your child’s posture, balance & confidence in preparation for taking those first steps, at which point they tend to focus so much on the squeak & less on the fear factor involved. Squeaky shoes work by forcing air through the squeaker in the heel of the shoe as your child walks. In order for the shoe to squeak your little girl must walk heel to toe, thereby teaching her to walk properly and not on her toes. When peace and quiet is needed the squeaker valve can be replaced with the supplied non-squeak valves. The shoes are packaged in an attractive Little Blue Lamb shoebox and are available in 5 sizes. To find the right size for your child, have them stand upright on a piece of A4 paper before marking the edges of their big toe and heel with a pencil. Measure the distance between the points before repeating for the other foot. To the longer of the two measurements, add between 5 to 10mm to account for growth and movement before matching your measurement to the size chart.
